Matt Strickland is a Senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is a double major in Journalism, electronic communication sequence and Political Science.  He is expected to graduate in May 2006. 

Matt spent his entire life growing up in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina.  He participated in numerous clubs and was proud to be a varsity captain of his high school’s baseball and soccer team.

During his high school years Matt was an active member of the United Methodist Youth Group.  Through his youth group, he was able to travel on several mission trips to Puebla, Mexico; Rosebud, South Dakota and to Tarboro, North Carolina.

Matt spent a semester during his junior year interning for the TV station NEWS 14 and he currently works for the Wachovia Corporation part-time.
